ABOUT US                                                                                                        THIS IS US

My name is Dan Turner and I am married to Colleen Henkel.  I am a retired Builder from California and have built over 3,000 living units in my career. I constructed my house in Costa Rica in 1995 and we lived off the grid in the rainforest until 2005. We are still in the rainforest but now we are connected to the grid. Just because we live in the rainforest does not mean we are remote. We are 6 min. from the airport, 8 min. from Los Delfines Golf Course, and just 12 min. from the town of Tambor. Even though I am retired, my wife Colleen, who is from Oregon, has her own management business and has various clients.  As of August 1st 2012 Colleen has opened a clothing shop in the near by town of Cobano! In the first two months the shop paid its own expenses and is now turning a profit!  We learned Spanish living in this country and are now fluent. I have learned a new way of life; patience, how to play golf, how to drive a tractor and a host of other things I had never taken time for. When asked why I moved to Costa Rica I always answer,I liked the way the Ticos treated their kids! Oh, by the way when you buy this lot we will be  neighbors in a world renowned
